Activities
Third-party evaluation
QAPHE conducts third-party evaluation of professional graduate schools certified by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology as well as third-party evaluation of professional training colleges.
QAPHE will also be involved in third-party evaluation of the tentatively named ‘professional universities’, which are expected to be established in the future.
Quality assurance and improvement support
QAPHE carries out activities such as those indicated below to support quality assurance and improvement of education in individual institutions.
- Various seminars and events
QAPHE conducts seminars to explain the content of third-party evaluation conducted by QAPHE, seminars to support self-assessment by educational institutions, and symposiums on topics such as the tentatively named ‘professional universities’ and professional post-secondary courses in professional training colleges, etc. - Helping improve quality assurance literacy
QAPHE distributes materials such as videos that help people acquire basic knowledge that leads to quality assurance and improvement at professional higher education institutions. - Evaluator development
QAPHE provides seminars to train evaluators and conducts workshops for persons working full-time as evaluators in third-party evaluation.
International cooperation
QAPHE cooperates with quality assurance-related organizations outside Japan to contribute to the international development of professional higher education institutions.
